Co-Curricular Arena

NIIT- nguru Math lab with seating capacity of 45 students

It is an irrefutable fact that Mathematics plays a vital role in everyday life. At Kennedy, we have collaborated with NIIT to set up a state of-the-art 45-seater NIIT nguru Math Lab. This facility integrates the elements of traditional teaching with the 21st century interactive methods. The nguru lab is a truly innovative concept and provides an add-on to the classroom teaching. This facility was inaugurated by Chess Master / Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand on 19 December 2014.

Robotics

In order to proof that 21st century learning skills are imbibed in our students, a year-long in-school Robotics programme has been introduced in CBSE. To succeed in this new information-base and highly technological society, students need to develop their capabilities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) at different levels. Building a robot involves inference drawing, model construction, testing and controlling a robot calls for the ability to give precise inputs.

When done in a team, robotics calls for collaboration and communication for the project to work. This teaches students valuable life skills in teamwork, communication and even community participation. The rationale for inclusion of robotics in education is thus a well- founded one and stands on solid ground.

Many popular tool kits like LEGO, littleBits, Arduino, Scratch Programming, 3D Design and Printing etc., are made available for the students under a single roof for activity-based learning which are highly interactive, educative and informative. Keeping this in mind, robotics classes have been introduced for the ‘ I ’ sections of classes VI to VIII.

Other Activities: (Compulsory for Classes I to V and Optional for Classes VI to XII)

Intra School Activities and Competitions

Throughout the academic year many intra school activities and competitions are conducted to boost the morale of the students. Soft Skills & Personality Development

Effective communication is vital in all aspects of life. The ability to communicate effectively and fluently increases a child’s self-esteem and confidence. At KENNEDY HIGH the global school, we have understood the need of the hour and have incorporated comprehensive English Communication and Language Proficiency Labs to cater to this need. The communication lab at KENNEDY HIGH the global school is a state-of-the art facility with a digital classroom and provides the right ambience for the ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking that is crucial for any communication training program. Soft skills, body language, voice intonation, modulation, gestures, and tips for effective public speaking are part of this interactive English Proficiency Program. For the students, English communication and Soft skills development classes are conducted weekly and help them to be effective communicators. In the Personality Development Lab, students are exposed to various facts of their personality. Through interactive modules, they get an opportunity to collaborate, think independently, learn to follow social etiquette, and emerge as responsible and articulate student leaders.
