HOL ACTIVITY-SESSION ON FINANCIAL LITERACY AND USE OF DIGITAL TOOLS AT KENNEDY HIGH
On 2 September 2022, KENNEDY HIGH the global school hosted a training session on Financial Literacy and use of Digital tools as Lead Hub school. A total of 110 Teachers registered to attend this free workshop from the following schools as part of HOL (Hubs of learning) activity.
This training session of two hours was conducted by SEBI certified Resource Person Dr. Chandra Sekhar Rajanala in the KENNEDY HIGH global school premises. This initiative was a part of Activities related to Investor Education and Awareness Initiative in terms of SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996.
The program opened with Lead Hub School Principal Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat welcoming the SEBI certified Resource Person Dr. Chandra Sekhar Rajanala and the teachers. Then, Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat briefed the assembled gathering on how CBSE has taken an initiative to sensitize teachers across the country on basics of Financial Literacy and use of Digital Tools that are relevant in the current scenario and how the session would help create awareness about basic financial planning. Thereafter, she introduced Dr. Chandra Sekhar Rajanala and listed out his impressive achievements and requested him to start the session.
The session was received with great enthusiasm and the teachers attending learnt how to avoid falling prey to phishing and cyber frauds along with how to plan, save and invest for their future in a better way. The participants asked a lot of questions and filled in the feedback form at the end of the two-hour session. Finally, Principal, KENNEDY HIGH the global school, Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat thanked the resource person Dr. Chandra Sekhar Rajanala for enlightening the teachers regarding basic financial planning and raising awareness about cyber fraud. She also thanked the participating schools and the teachers for their participation and requested the host school teachers to escort the participants to the dining hall to have some refreshments and to interact informally with each other, before they said goodbye.
