A workshop on Gender Sensitivity was conducted as a part of CBSE, Kakinada, and capacity building program.

At the onset of the program, teachers gave a quick introduction and started the session with ‘Gender Construct’ discussion. The objective of the workshop was to help the teachers to understand the meaning of Gender Sensitivity. Gender related manuals were provided to each teacher and activities from the handouts were conducted in groups as well as individually. The training program aimed to equip teachers with knowledge, skills, attitudes and methodologies to help them promote gender equality better in the classroom itself. Several practices that could be incorporated into the curriculum were highlighted.
